Accuform Improves Quality and Productivity
Through A Computer To Plate System.

 

Accuform Printing and Graphics, Detroit's largest female owned printing company, has installed a computer to plate system (CTP). The CTP allows for many benefits to clients. Through the elimination of a traditional plate making system, Accuform will now be able to lower cost, improve quality, and turn around projects in a shorter amount of time then allowed with a traditional system.

Accuform instituted an implementation system based on proven methods from Heidelberg, including a three day training session on the proper methods to produce plates with the new technology. Through training from Heidelberg, Accuform's staff was able to stay ahead of the learning curve and implement the new methods in a short time frame.

The benefits to Accuform's customers include the following: faster turnaround and a better value for dollars spent. With the CTP, customer files are directly sent back through a PDF based system that allows for the original files to be the direct imaging source. Secondly, the system allows for the greatest quality possible, as significant amounts or dot-gain is eliminated as the plates are first generation outputs. Other benefits include, lower cost during the proofing process and corrections being more economical due to the fact that plates have not already been made.

Also through the usage of a computer to plate system we are able to accept PDF files from any location, which eliminates boundaries, due to physical location allowing us to accept files from clients anywhere in the world.
